Tikhat Keli
Spicy Banana side dish.
Ingredients:
Bananas (yellow)- 4
Cilantro chopped- 2 tb.sp
Green chilli chopped- 2
Sugar- ½ tsp
Cumin seed- ½ tsp
Clarified butter- 11/2 tbsp
Salt- 1tsp
Fresh coconut grated- ½ cup
Milk- ½ cup
Method:
Cut bananas approx. 8 pieces each.
Heat clarified butter in a saucepan. Add cumin seeds and green chillies.
Add bananas, fresh coconut, milk, sugar and salt.
Cook for 4-5 minutes and garnish with cilantro.
Makes 2-3 servings.
Serve warm with sabudana khichadi, rajgira thalipeeth or an entree of your choice.
Kothimbirichi chutney
Cilantro chutney
Ingredients:
Cilantro- 1 bunch
green chillies chopped- 4
Sugar- 11/2 tsp
cumin seed- 11/2 tsp
Garlic chopped- 1tsp
Salt- 1tsp
Lemon juice- 2 tb.sp
Method:
Add all the ingredients to a grinder and grind to make a fine paste.
Can be used to make sandwiches or used as a dip with appetizers of choice.
